  • Overview

    Primary Functions:

    The Software Sales Operations Specialist is a key role supporting our sales organization.  The role will work closely with Sales and Operations Team in the daily operations of the sales organization.  In addition, the individual will also be responsible for supporting the executive staff in tracking, reporting and monitoring of sales performance and will partner closely with account executives to support territory business.


    Key responsibilities:

    • Manage the lifecycle of software opportunities within IBM’s systems including the registration, approval processes and forecasting
    • Assist in the maintenance of contact database to enable Marketing efforts to key IBM personal
    • Assist in the maintenance of technical certification requirements
    • Engage with the global team on productivity projects such as: workflow improvements, knowledge sharing, training
    • Provide data and guides to help the sales team
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators
    • Manage sales tracking tools and report on important information
    • Keep record and report on relevant sales trends


    Required skills:

    • Organizational, time management skills and attention to detail required 
    • Excellent time and project management skills – can coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a high-paced business culture.
    • Ability to respond to, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest of standards for completeness and accuracy
    • Self-starter that can execute tasks with little guidance
    • A strong commitment to working collaboratively with a team
    • Goal oriented
    • Excellent communication skills including strong written and verbal skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with Salesforce preferred
    • Strong English speaker is a must
