Job Title: PostgreSQL Architect
Experience: 10 - 15 years

Job Description:
Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements, migration goals, and timelines.

• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans for transitioning from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
• Lead the assessment of current Oracle instances and design the target PostgreSQL architecture.
• Oversee the implementation of migration tools and scripts.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, DBA, and QA teams throughout the migration process.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and security during and after the migration.
• Identify and manage all interfacing points to the database, including applications, integration systems, and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with application owners and integration teams to ensure seamless integration with the new PostgreSQL environment.
• Coordinate and manage multiple teams, including internal teams and external vendors, to ensure project milestones are met.
• Facilitate regular meetings and communication among team members to foster collaboration and address issues promptly.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and optimize database performance during and after the migration.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and support to teams on PostgreSQL best practices and usage.
• Document migration processes, configurations, and procedures.
