The Opportunity 

We are looking for a hands-on Consultant Test Lead with strong experience in integration testing and Salesforce projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a major programme of work, liaising directly with key stakeholders while ensuring smooth collaboration between onshore and offshore testing teams. 

As a Test Lead, you will take ownership of test governance, oversee the functional system and integration test phases, and ensure high-quality deliverables from our offshore team. You’ll be working closely with project managers, developers, and business analysts to drive best practices and testing excellence. 

Key Responsibilities 

- Lead and manage the test strategy, planning, and execution for a major integration and Salesforce implementation programme. 

- Act as the primary client contact, ensuring alignment between business goals, test deliverables, and project timelines. 

- Provide a governance layer for our offshore test team, ensuring test phases are executed effectively. 

- Oversee integration testing, ensuring that interfaces between systems (including APIs and middleware) function seamlessly. 

- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to define test scope, priorities, and risk mitigation strategies. 

- Ensure best practices for functional system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) support. 

- Implement and optimise test automation where applicable, using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and JMeter. 

- Produce high-quality test documentation, including test strategies, test cases, defect reports, and governance artefacts. 

- Work across agile and waterfall methodologies, adapting processes as required. 

Essential Skills & Experience: 

- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in integration testing. 

- Previous experience as a Test Lead, managing testing activities across multiple test phases. 

- Strong knowledge of Salesforce testing (custom configurations, integrations, and data validation). 

- Experience leading offshore teams, ensuring quality governance and process adherence. 

- Excellent knowledge of API testing and integration testing methodologies. 

- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress). 

- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner. 

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising directly with clients and senior management. 

- ISTQB Foundation certification (ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent is a plus). 

Desirable Skills & Experience: 

- Exposure to middleware and cloud-based integrations. 

- Experience in Higher Education or Legal domains. 

- Performance testing or test automation experience. 

- Experience working in multi-vendor environments.
